Death among the colleges: writing crime novels

Emily lives in Cambridge and is the author of a Cambridge-set series of crime novels (The Whole World, The Start of Everything, The Red House, Look For Her) and the memoir Jane Doe January. She will talk about her books and about finding and keeping inspiration through the writing process.

Emily teaches the novel-writing term of the Certificate in Creative Writing and the crime-writing term of the Diploma in Creative Writing at Madingley Hall, and is on the core faculty for Cambridge’s brand new two-year MSt in Crime and Thriller Writing, which started in January 2020.
