Howard Slatter is a retired teacher of mathematics, with a keen interest in natural history, local history and the environment. He lives in Trumpington, through which much of Hobson’s Brook flows, and has been a Trustee of Hobson’s Conduit Trust since 2008. He was chairman of the Trust from 2012 to 2020. The Trust is the body which, on behalf of Cambridge City Council and Cambridge University, is responsible for maintaining a good flow of water in the Conduit and overseeing the general health of the Brook and its immediate surroundings. This guided walk is a follow up to the much appreciated talk he gave us last November.
