Hear more about this extraordinary community art project; where it began and plans for the future. Book for the online talk here.

Presentation by: Ruth Sapsed & Hilary Cox Condron, Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI) & Matt Ling, Cambridge Canopy Project

Forest of Imagination celebrates the natural world at a time when there is mounting evidence about the vital importance of the outdoors and creativity for our mental wellbeing.  Launched in 2020 with an initial collection of 18 individual artworks, the Forest has continued to grow as they work with new communities.  It now contains over 50 of these beautiful gauze hangings from work made by nearly 400 children and young people from across our region.  New work will be created this year with members of the Abbey community.

Dr Matt Ling, project lead for the Cambridge Canopy Project will also join the conversation to talk about the partnership work being developed with CCI and share how you can help to grow the urban forest.

Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI) is an arts, education and well-being charity that has been based in the region for 15 years and works extensively with the education and mental health sectors.
